The accident and luck of Cunha Street

Cunha Street at Christmas is like a lively picture illuminated by the festival. The shops on both sides of the street were full of lanterns and wreaths, and the air was filled with the aroma of roasted chestnuts and egg tarts. The crowd was bustling, with laughter and dialogue intertwined, and the whole street was in a cheerful atmosphere. Jesse and I were pushed forward by the crowd and were soon squeezed out of breath. So we decided to temporarily escape from the main street and turn into the side alley to find a moment of tranquillity.

The alley is much quieter, the stone road winds forward, and the buildings on both sides have a strong Portuguese style. We walked into a small shop and bought a few Portuguese tarts with Macao characteristics. The freshly baked egg tart has a crispy crust and a sweet filling. When you take a bite, the warmth spreads from the tip of your tongue to the bottom of your heart. While eating, we recorded the unique style of this alley with our mobile phones - the mottled walls, the retro signs, and the occasional green plants from the window sill, as if every detail was telling the story of Macau.

After eating the egg tart, we decided to go back to the main street. However, the crowds on Cunha Street have not decreased, but have become more crowded. I picked up my mobile phone and wanted to take a picture of the Christmas tree on the corner of the street, but I was staggered a few steps by the sudden crowd. When I stood firmly, Jesse had disappeared. I looked around, trying to find him in the crowd, but there were only strange faces in sight. I was a little flustered and was about to call him when I suddenly felt that someone gently pulled the corner of my clothes.

Looking down, it was a little girl, about five or six years old. She had tears in her eyes and said to me with a trembling voice, "I can't find my mother. Can you help me?" Her eyes were full of helplessness, and my heart suddenly softened. I squatted down and comforted her softly: "Don't be afraid, I'll help you find your mother." After saying that, I picked her up and began to shuttle quickly in the crowd.

The little girl hugged my neck tightly and sobbed from time to time. While comforting her, I looked around anxiously, hoping to help her find her mother as soon as possible. The lights of Cunha Street flickered in the night, and the crowd was still bustling, but my mood was getting heavier and heavier. Just then, I heard a familiar voice: "Where have you been? I've been looking for you for a long time!" Looking up, Jesse was walking towards me with a little anxiety on his face.

Just as I was about to explain, the little girl in my arms suddenly pointed to Jesse and shouted, "Mom!" I followed her gaze and saw a lady standing next to Jesse, her face full of surprise and gratitude. It turned out that this lady was the little girl's mother. After she couldn't find her daughter, she also asked Jesse for help. Unexpectedly, the four of us were reunited in such a way.

Jesse and I looked at each other and smiled, as if all this was arranged by fate. I quickly handed the little girl into her mother's arms. Her mother thanked her repeatedly with tears in her eyes. In order to express her gratitude, she invited us to taste the matcha ice cream with Macao specialties. We sat on the bench on the street, eating ice cream and watching the night view of Guanya Street, and our hearts were full of warmth.

This unexpected experience made me realise that sometimes, behind seemingly bad things, there may be unexpected luck. Cunha Street not only made me appreciate its flavour, but also allowed me to meet the purest kindness between people in the crowded crowd. Perhaps, this is the meaning of travelling - in different places, you can meet love and a better self.
Cunha Street

Commentary and reflection

For the audio, I introduced Cunha Street in it, including its location, architectural style, cultural connotation, etc. I think some other contents can be introduced in more depth.

For the video, I filmed the main street of Cunha Street, showing some of its style as a popular tourist attraction area in Macau. Due to the file size limit, I only intercepted 26 seconds of upload, but I actually hope to upload a 1-minute video so that I can better understand it.

For creative writing, I described a creative story. Based on the activities on Cunha Street that day, I made further creative writing, including some virtual storylines. I think I did a good job in this part.

For MyBlog home page editing, I may need to be more perfect in my future study.
